Recently, we had the opportunity to take a group of our Year 10 learners, alongside one of our Post-16 students with a particular passion for photography, to the YMCA for an inspiring Digital Skills and Photography Workshop.
The workshop challenged students to think creatively as they worked in teams to plan and produce their own short videos. Rather than filming one continuous video, the students captured lots of individual shots from different angles and perspectives, learning how these could be edited together.
Once filming was complete, they combined their clips, adjusted the timing of each scene, and added sound effects to enhance their stories and create a more engaging viewing experience.
A huge thank you to the YMCA for delivering such an engaging and interactive workshop. Experiences like these help our learners develop valuable digital skills while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and confidence.
