As part of PSHE lessons, students have been learning about LGBTQ+ History Month and why it is an important time to celebrate diversity, equality, and inclusion.
Throughout the sessions, students explored key facts about Pride, including significant dates and important moments in Pride history. These discussions helped develop understanding, respect, and awareness of the experiences and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community.
To finish the topic, each group designed their own Pride Pop Art artwork. Using bright colours and bold designs, students creatively expressed messages of pride, acceptance, and individuality. The finished pieces reflected both their learning and their creativity, making the project a meaningful and enjoyable way to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month.
