Health and Wellbeing Day

Latest News

Students recently took part in a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Day, designed to provide valuable knowledge and support around important aspects of physical and emotional health.

We were pleased to welcome a range of external visitors who delivered engaging and informative sessions. Chris Humphries from University Academy 92 led a session on emotional resilience, helping students understand how to manage challenges and build positive coping strategies. The NHS Sexual Health team provided important guidance on staying safe and informed. Sharon from Dizzy Heights delivered an impactful talk around drugs and their effects. In addition, Richard Ogden from Stoke-on-Trent City Council spoke to students about vaping, raising awareness of the risks and encouraging informed decision-making.

Each session gave students the opportunity to ask questions, reflect, and build their understanding in a safe and supportive environment. To support their wellbeing further, all students were also provided with a hygiene bag to take away.

The day was a great success, with students engaging positively and gaining valuable knowledge to help them make safe, informed choices in their everyday lives.
