Year 11 students continue to show real determination as they prepare for their final GCSE exams. To support them further, after-school booster sessions in Maths, English, and Science are running each week. These sessions offer targeted revision, helping students consolidate their learning and build confidence ahead of their exams.
Each class is designed to:
- Focus on key topics and common exam themes
- Provide time to work through past paper questions and exam-style tasks
- Offer teacher-led guidance and personalised feedback to address gaps in understanding
We’re incredibly proud of the effort students are putting into these sessions and their independent study.
A Reminder: Take Care of Your Mind as Well as Your Grades
While academic preparation is important, so is looking after your mental health during exam season. Here are a few simple self-care tips for students:
- Prioritise sleep – Aim for 7–9 hours to help with memory and focus
Stay hydrated – Drinking water improves concentration
Take breaks – Use the Pomodoro technique (25 mins work, 5 mins break)
Practice relaxation – Try breathing exercises or a short walk after studying
Talk it out – Don’t bottle things up; talk to a trusted adult or friend if you’re feeling overwhelmed
Above all, remember that exams are just one part of your journey. Your wellbeing matters, and support is always available.
We wish all our students the very best in the coming weeks—you’ve got this!
