In preparation for mock exams after February half term, Year 11 students have been taking part in How to Revise lessons designed to help them revise more effectively and with confidence.
During these sessions, students have been introduced to a range of practical revision strategies. These include brain dumping to quickly recall key information, using retrieval grids to identify strengths and gaps in knowledge, and red pen/green pen reviews to reflect on their work and make clear improvements.
The lessons have focused on helping students understand how revision works best for the brain, encouraging active recall and self-reflection rather than passive reading. These strategies will support students both in their upcoming mock exams and as they continue their exam preparation.
A positive and proactive start to revision as Year 11 move closer to their exams.
