Art makes a significant contribution to our society through human innovation, imagination, and thought. A high-quality curriculum in art, enables pupils to develop the love of a subject that is both intellectually challenging and creatively demanding.

At Sporting Stars Academy, we believe that teaching and learning in art is important because it stimulates creativity, imagination and inventiveness. The purpose of an Art education is to give pupils the skills, concepts, and knowledge necessary for them to express responses to ideas and experiences in a visual or tactile form.

Art is used to bring out confidence in young people developing social and interpersonal skills, in order to develop not only our art skills but also our communication with the world through verbal, written and visual representations. Art is created to show that mistakes can be made, altered, and learnt from, this core value is embedded within the Art curriculum.
